I really need to have an idea of how loud this exhaust system is on a GT. I also need to know how i can pass emissions tests with this system. Ive thought about going to a custom exhaust shop to install flanges so i could be able to bolt on my cat when needed. Any idea on the db level? I need as much info on this kazuma exhasut as possible. thanx

sounds complicated. do note that if you do somehow convert a trd kazuma exhaust to comply with both db level limits and emissions requirements..it will not still give you the horses it produced before the cat was on.

personally, unless you are serious about racing (the trd kazuma is excellent for that) a much simpler answer would be the greddy evo exhaust (better than average amount of horses/torque..but more importantly it's 50 state legal).

Damn boy. Sounds like you need to do some homework.

Is this exhaust a direct bolt setup? Instead of getting all these flanges, keep your stock exhaust. When you go in for inspection, put your stock on. That will get you past the inspection. As for the cops and decibal levels, I do not know where you are located so I do not know how strcit the law is there. As long as you are not acting stupid with it, you should be fine.

And if you want the stats on the exhaust, call them up. They will have all the info you need, maybe even a silencer for you.

The Kazuma is well over 100+ DB. You can get a silencer, but that doesn't really help at all. The only effective thing you can do to quiet it down is to get a resonator put on, but that would take away some of the HP gains it gives. So, if you get it, you're just going to have to live with the noise and drive around cautiously and keep the RPM's low. grin
