Hey all..old member, just havent been around for a while..If you remeber me i had an 02 echo and was gonna trade it in for a celi but never was able to close deal (credit failed me) frown

-I have a friend that has a 1zz 01 rolla engine and he's sayin its the same engine as the GT Celica's ..is this true, The edmunds book is saying that the celica came with 140 hp and rolls's came with 125..So what s the dif if they are both 1zz's?..dif heads?

-What kind of aftermarket hp parts are out there for the 1zz's?

-What kind of n/a hp can you get out of a 1zz?..170-ish

2zz=more money than i have, I have about 1500 fopr a swap and bolt ons..cheapest 2zz i could find was 2000 and that w/o the ac,starter, ecu and other acc crap.

I was gonna go for a TRD s/c ..but it only fits the scion right now.

if you're gonna do all that work, save up a lil longer and get the 2zz. you'll be happier in the end.

you'll also have 1 crazy echo.

Yea..thats true, I did the math and came up with it being at bone stock it would in the mid/lower 13's (13.4's)and with I/H/E/PULLEYS runnning in the mid upper/mid 12's (12.8's)..id be plenty happy with that.

echo weigh's in at 2100 with me in it.

never count your chickens wink before they hatch.

You gotta factor in driver ability, tires, track, temp, humidity.

Don't get pulleys, and theres not a decent header out for the 2zz YET...lol wink

Why no on the pulleys..my lightened crank pulley (not underdriven)free'ed up the most hp out of all of the mods ive done so far.
