I am not an expert with suspension so...

THis is what is going on:

I am starting in the next couple of weeks buying stuff for turbo..blah blah blah...after i am done, i will have some good whp running out of it. SO my point is is that i will want a big break kit, rims, kaminari body kit, suspension upgrade, sway bar and the like.

I need help with:

What big break kit should i get? I know TRD makes some and i was wondering does Brembo work with our car? Anyothers? what is the best?

I will get 16 or 17" rims, depending on the size needed for the big break kit. What do you think..i was think 17's. What profile for the tires as well? I need the tires to be all weather because i won't have the money to get a sport tire and an all weather tire. Anyone have any ideas which profile i should get? i want good handling. I know Continental is a good tire. Any ideas?

The suspension: I want to lower it a little bit, i need it a daily driver so need to pass inspection and don't want to kill the body kit. I was thinking the Eibach 1.2" drop with the 16" or 17". If this is fine, what else would i need so the power of the car (with turbo) will not kill the rest of the suspension.

WHat brand should i get for the Sway bar and what else do i need for handling?
Thanks in advance since i don't have a computer right now and can only check once or twice a day. wave

think you need 18's for big breaks.. 16's would deffinately be too small. and how can you afford a 3-5grand turbo and not afford a 200-300 dollar set of snow tires? put snow tires on your old rims and performance tires on your 18's the profile is probably going to have to low enough so it won't be possible to get winter or all season tires on 18's. also a big break kit is going to cost you a few grand. unless you just get a big rotor kit from aem that only makes the rotor bigger and that I think is about 500-800 or so. also if you do a 1 inch drop with 18's with 225/45/18's it'll be the stock height off the ground because of the larger diameter of wheel and the 45 sidewall will give you more give for daily driving over potholes and such.. if you go down to a 35 sidewall expect to be thrashed on bumpy roads. also hotchkis has a good suspension setup for 1 grand that includes swaybars springs camber links and strut tower bars pretty much everything you need to lower your car and make it handle like carzy.

i think brembo big breaks you need 16"+ but i will have to check cause i dont' want to have 18's. I looked at the hotchkis but what about shocks, shouldn't i get some aftermarket shocks? I can afford the turbo but after i get it put on, i won't have any money plus i couldn't put my stock wheels back on anyways so i can't afford two sets of rims and tires after i get the turbo installed.

well, just found out that the TRD big break kit is 13.1" so how big of a tire do i need to fit that? also, i know i need the aftermarket shocks to handle the increased pressure. I found the Hotchkis complete system on wctoyota.com Is this ok and how is the price? Also, like i said, i don't want 18"s, if i have to fine but if i don't with the 13.1" big break kit, what size should i get and i want a little wider tire so i can have better handling and all that stuff but i dont' want too wide of course...any suggestions?

Hi!

I can highly recomend the Rotora BBK. It's awesome! You need at least 16" rims. But it's the inner clearance of the rim that counts. You need enough inner clearance for the caliper. I'm running RH 16" in winter and 17" OZ Superleggera in summer. You need to meassure to be sure that the rims fit.

i think 17" would look good with the kit u're getting and still be light enough to keep ur speed from ur turbo.. watch out for the big brake kits..most of them are just for the front with the calipers. not sure what u're looking for. i would go with trd's. to finish out ur suspension..u'll need new shocks/struts with swaybars thumbsup

i was also thinking on TRD.com, the Hotchkis Competition TVS has everything i need i think. I will have to double check. If so, you think that should be the next thing i do to my car, put some rims on and put in a suspension before i start turbo or do you think that would be too stiff of a ride without the turbo?
