The other night i realized that my headlight was out, my low-beam, so the next morning i went to check it and the headlight was completely shattered. why is that?! im thinking of buying some rims just some 17s cause they are light weight, and i dont wanna go thru brake pads...

if you changed your bulb, or took out your stock bulb, and put back in for some reason, you more then likely had the chance of messing it up. The bulbs are very sensitive, and even the slightest bit of oil from your fingers on the glass could cause the bulb to shatter. I've had it happen to me before. I accidentally brushed the glass of a bulb on my hand when putting it in, and it shattered on me when i turned on the headlights to check it. Or like Hombre said, it may have just been a bad bulb.
Also, on the rims, you wont really go through brake pads quicker. If it becomes a problem, upgrade your calipers

The headlight was completely shattered, and i went to buy and new headlight and put it in...so i went thru all that, and then it still wouldnt work, and then i realized that my damn foglights were out too...it totally sucked. i went thru all the fuses to find the one that had popped...so my problem is resolved but what would make a bulb do that, i never touched it when i put it in! could it be from water, cause i tore my underbody off where the oil pan is cause it started dragging the ground real bad when i drove to texas!?
