I'm think about putting FF GT body kit on my celica and was wondering if its a difficult process to do yourself, i have some expierience with installing body kits namely my sisters civic, but was told that the celica is much more complex. also where would a good place to get the parts painted be? also i have 17" moda wheels would these pose a problem with the bodykit.

i heard from tru_asiatik_pride that the authentic FF GT kit's fitment wasnt really perfect and that you needed to work with it a bit.

my ec-1 fit near perfect right out the box, the rear was kinda cracked from shipment but i fixed it, the cracked part was at the bottom though and didnt have any effect on the fitment. as far as dificult the most dificult part is removing and installing the rear, the front and side are ez as pie

not hard to install at all, the hardest part to install i think is the rear. just get a friend to help you line up the bumper as good as you can and drill holes where there needed. with the sides drill holes on the end of the skirts on the lip and holes on the bottom of the skirts where the door closes at the bottom. and add adhesive to the side. and rear i had help with and forgot how to install, i know it sound kinda weird so if you need more and better explaining pm me.

right i think i'll probably be going with the EC-I also how close of a match can shops get the paint to match with the rest of the body, cause the previous owner had a front peice of a body kit put on it and the color is off. also would i have an dragging problems with 17" or would i maybe have to jump to 18's

I bought replica Veilside for $250. front bumper fits nice. but sideskirts are BAD!!!!!!! its freakin short. and rear doesn;t fit well too. I took some pictures of them. I'll post them later hahahha
thank god I can return it but... I wasted my weekends and my whole body is killing me now because I had to take all 4 body kits out and put them back for nothing specially, rear bumper was b*tch. God~~ I dont wanna do the body job again. So, better watch out for replica body kits.

i didnt have any trouble installing my ffgt kit. its best to have someone help you install the parts especially after they are painted. as for the 17inch rims you will most likely have to go with 18's unless you have coilovers. you know how bad the roads are in ohio.

authentic kit from veilside should be perfect if not near perfect, and the wholes should be pre-drilled. So all you have to do is paint it and mount it really, unless there are some minor probs. MINOR, authentic shouldnt give you much probs, if it does, thats what i like about authentic, you can go right back to the source with a full warranty and replacement!

brandname is good if you have the money to waste. if you shop around lots you "can" find good replica kits for like mine WAAAAAY less. my whole kit was less then JUST the front bumper of the brandname one.

i never said that id rather throw money away to buy an authentic, and that people should only pay 2000 for the real thing. If you cant afford the real thing, yeah, buy the replica. But all i said that it looks better to buy the real thing. But, since you want to get into financials, noob, lets get into financials, do you work?? Lets hope you do. Lets say that you made something no one else made, and everyone had to buy it from you. And you sold it for 100 dollars, but all of a sudden, someone makes a "REPLICA" and sells it for 20, now your out of fucking money. SO now what, your gonna be the one getting mad at all the people buying replicas. I never said buying a replica is a bad thing, i just said it looks better to buy authentic, but since you tried to make me look like shit, ill make you look like shit. Im not rich, but i value the respect for money and people who work to make it. Dont you think thats maybe the reason why its so expensive, becuase they lose sales, they have to make it up somehow. If everyone buys only authentic, the price would go a lot lower. Because they can sell more, dont you realize thats the whole point behind group buys, thats how they can lower the price.
