I check it every time I fill up.
A week or so ago I miss shifted from 5th to 4th and cought 2nd. It instantly redlined and i clutched it as soon I cought it.
I'm thinking about changing the valves and springs for insurance. Is that worth the trouble?
I do a great deal of red-lining through 3rd-5th. I have heard the valves are known for bending. everything is stock on the engine. I don't even have time to put a cold air kit on it.
If it's slow enough at work tonight I'm going to bore scope the cylinders through the spark plug holes. to make sure the valves haven't touched the pistons.
