K help here please! i beg you all for your knowledge! :)

K, i have so much info going both ways so i want the clear answer smile

I have a 5speed wanting to go to 6speed. I heard from a number of people to do this i need the GTS 6speed shifter cables and the housing. Is this all or anything more do i need? Also, will this cause any problems or slow me down?

Oh and on a side note, I plan on a turbo and so will it really matter if say the 6speed instead of a 5speed will slow me down a few horsepower and tourque? will it do that? thanks in advance for any help, i have class now.

a 6 speed won't slow you down. And I would think that that would be all you need. idunno

Maybe a new clutch too.

I'm assuming you already got the extra gear for the transmission, right?

if you get a 00-01 tranny you need the cables and housing also.. you dont need the housing and cables if you get the wider shift gates from the 02+, and if you have the tranny out for the swap you might as well change the flywheel and clutch makes things easier
