My car was at almost 39k miles when I realized I'd forgotten about changing my spark plugs. It was idling bad & I had a CEL.
I replaced the stock plugs w/ IK16's for my gt, cleaned my air filter, & did a good clean on my MAF.
Running smooth as new. Acceleration is better, it feela little bit snappier than stock & doesn't seem to struggle near redline, & my fuel economy has really gone up. Not a super hp boost, but it's running very cleanly now.
$55 well spent.

Yep, Denso Iridium's are supposed to do everything except improve your sex life.

I have a set in the RSeX, not a bad little investment.

The proof that Denso Iridium Power will ad you hp. This dyno is a Mitsubishi Galant 2.5 V6. Compared to platina spark plugs. It clearly shows that the iridium plugs ads 5 hp.

Guess what Im getting next time my car is in for service thumbsup thumbsup

Are the Ik16's for the GT and the Ik20's for the GTS? What is the difference? Also looks like just about every Autozone sells them but does anyone have a link to a online dealer?

eh, it's just spark plugs. Not like its an intake or exhaust or a bodykit.

On that note, see if Nology sells their Silverstone spark plugs for your car. Apparently, silver is supposed to be a greater conductor than iridium and you'll get more horsepower.

But keep in mind...they're only spark plugs.

I got mine from the zone. They were $53. Yes, our cars come with Denso iridium plugs, but not the Denso iridium power plugs. IK16 for gt owners & IK20 for gts owners. The price is pretty much the same online & at the local stores. I'm 3 blocks from the zone so why wait. My car was really running bad. The Toyota dealership sells what I'm assuming are stock Denso plugs for $69 just for comparison. They are just plugs but try & ride without one of them.
