will this affect my insurance?
My brother was running a yellow light and the cop was being bias giving my brother a ticket for running a red light. The insurance of the car was under my parents name. Would this affect my parents insurance rate in anyway???

if the charges for failure to obey traffic signal go through as charged, it could affect your parents' rates if / when the policy comes up for renewal

hmmm...well I think the insurance company looks at the driving record of those on the policy right?

is your brother listed as a driver on your parent's policy? if not then I'd say they're ok. if he is on the policy, bring it to an attorney to try to get it reduced to a non-moving violation like a parking ticket (that's what I did to my speeding tickets when I used to get them hehe). good thing there was no accident. if he had not been on the policy and had been in an accident, the insurance company would have made your parents pay more for having him on the policy if he isn't already. or they might make you guys sign an exclusion preventing him driving the car with insurance from that company. that's just my reasonable guess. Revmonster's the insurance expert, and so is AZZKIKKR since he deals a lot with insurance stuff in the law firm he works at. you can PM them.

I get my kicks on EC.
