I have about 15000 miles on my car and when pressing the clutch in I can hear a squeaky noise coming from inside the car all the way out to somewhere in the engine bay. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It just started happening and happens on and off. It seems like maybe it needs to be greased up or something, but I'm not sure. Thanks!

I had the same problem all I did is to use some oil can spray on the bracket holding the clutch cable where you can see the bare wire.

Can you describe where the cable is? I'm not familiar with the clutch system. Also could you be a little more specific on what kind of oil can spray? Thanks!

So the Celicas use a cable instead of a hydrolic system?

What's the difference? Advantages/Disadvantages?

I have a hydrolic system in my current car and it turned out to be the master cylinder causing the squeaks from the clutch.

What I did was this:

Pop the hood open, take out the stock airbox. You will see a gold colored mechanism, if you are having a hard time locating this, have someone shift through the gears. Lube the joints.

Also, towards the left side, you will see this black rubbery material which contracts and expands as you press/depress the clutch pedal. Lube this also.
