I was thinking about getting one for my celi. It is supposed to be able to work with aftermarket chips (which I have). It looks like it just increases the fuel in the air/fuel mixture. When I had my car dyno'd the guy told me that if I increased my fuel a little bit I could get an extra 5 to 10 more ponies. Does anyone have experience with these, or perhapse the s-afc you here so much about? Also Greddy has one now too. Help, I need guidance.

From what I hear, the Greddy is the best product for our cars. The Venom may be ok, but everyone says their car resets itself with the safc, except at WOT (which is what you are when you race). So I don't really know. I just know that i wouldn't spend that much money to find out the hard way. But I think the Greddy is actually reliab;e considering it is a piggyback and they preprogram it for you and your mods. I would look more into the Greddy emanage, see if you need to buy any harnesses.

Yep, go with the Greddy E-Manage...or maybe a Jet Performance chip? Or a Jet + E-manage??

Rice, something about our ecus allows us to not be able to use chips...or not get any performance from chips. What has been said about JET, is that you send them your ecu and you are basically just getting a sticker on it. You may have a very small increase in power, but I have never heard of anyone getting substantial enough gains...which is why many of us do not have chips and are all so curious about other electronic upgrades. We don't want to spend 300-400 dollars and get ripped.

Caerie, I don't think so, considering that the emanage is just a piggyback. You would need a new standalone such as the Apexi PowerFC in order to do that. The reason many people do not have that is because it is $1000.

I have a jet chip and my friend with a gts also has one. We both noticed gains...after I got my header installed my car didn't pick up until 4000 rpm but after I got the chip I felt much more pickup at lower rpm. probably due to the timing advance feature. And yes you have to send your computer off for a couple of days so hope you got a second car..or take the bus.

To the original poster, all the Venom Module POS does is alter the TPS (throttle position sensor) signal and basically tells the ECU that you're at 70% throttle when you're really at 1/2 throttle. It does not alter the air/fuel mixture at all. Don't quote me here, I just used those #'s as examples. A cheap way to get the same effect is just press farther down on the gas pedal.

You are kidding me. They want you to pay 300 bucks for something that your foot can do for free. Damn. I want to take the Venom guys (providing they are not really big guys) and beat them down. I will look more into the Greddy management system. Thanks for the info
