Now does that say you HAVE to buy an Injen SRI if you DON'T have a stock intake? In other words, you can't use a CAI??

the cai wont fit because it doesn't go into the throttle body when you have turbo.

the purpose of the cai is to get cooler air to the intake for a better power gain while remaining n/a. now you could install a duct to get fresh air from the outside, but that would not be too much a benefit, because when you pressurize the air the temperature will also increase, that is the reason for intercoolers
