In an effort to try and cheer myself up, I took the car out of the garage and taped on the vizage kit and the wing. And then I forgot to turn on the automatic adjustment of light on the camera, so even tho it was really bright outside it looks like dawn or something...Oh well...

The wing needs a lot of adjustment. It's going to be lower & shorter when it's done. Right now it's a bit on the big side smile

Anyways...Here they are...
(I just couldn't be bothered to take out the 19" rims and the seibon invader Carbon Fiber hood, so you'll have to imagine those parts yourself smile

Seeing as there'll be x number of posts about the wing looking good, and another x number of posts about how I should go wingless and that wing sucks etc - here's my thoughts on it:

When the wing has been modified to fit the car, with about 1" cut off in height, and 1,5-2" cut off in width, I'm pretty sure it'll look alright. When I compare the picture of the car without the wing, with the picture with the wing - the picture without leaves me feeling there's something missing from the car. So my gut feeling is that wing will work, eventually.

And, in another burst of honesty, I really couldn't care less if some one doesn't agree with me 'cause it's my car and my money so in the end I'll do whatever I feel like, no matter what some one says ;-)

A totally unforseen bill of *4200 dollars* (don't even ask) has killed a lot of my plans for the car tho. Was feeling kinda low about it, that's why I took these snaps - to cheer myself up. But I can forget a 2 color paint job, new rims, and most probably some of the custom work that was planned for the chassis. The antenna and rear window wiper will be shaved off, that's 100% for sure. And the car will get a complete respray. But modifying the front fenders to resemble the F1 style fenders, and removing the fuel lid, that's another matter.. I'll need some major favours to be able to pull that off.

And the widebody plans are totally killed. Fucking 4200 dollars...argh!

actually if you could get a smaller wing (not to bust your bubble or anythin) it's look even nicer

As I've already written, the wing will be trimmed down both in width and height. It's too big as it is. First chance I get, I'll go apeshit with some power tools cutting it down in size.

If I could afford it, I'd buy the Rod Millen wing with a Carbon Fiber blade right now. But I can't. So either this wing will work some how, or I'll have to spend this summer wingless. Either way, with a wing or wingless -- it'll still look nice with the kit, severely lowered on 19's, and the seibon invader style carbon fiber hood smile

Sometimes you got to try new things. Going with the flow is just way to easy. And owning what "everyone" else has, isn't as fun as having something unique wink

Yeah, it's a sweet wing. Had one last summer (never mounted). Awesome quality. But I'm not feeling it with the vizage kit.

Hopefully this wing will eventually work (when cut down in size). If not...wingless for a summer, and post all kinds of shit about how wings suck and wingless rules etc ;-) hehe

The main problem with the wing is that it looks kinda good when standing somewhere in front of the car. But once you get up beside it, or behind it, it all kinda falls appart..

But, as said...if all fails, and the wing won't work, then wingless isn't that bad either smile
