Hey guys i'm new here i just got my 2002 gts today. I noticed though that a little after 3000 rpm, the car stumbles for a second and then kicks. Kinda like when i had my turbo civic and i had turbo lag right before the boost just spiked. Do you know what could be causing this?

idk if this is the right forum to be posting this, but sorry if it's the wrong place

is everything stock? you can try cleaning the MAF sensor. sorry gtg right now, but I'm sure someone will post up on how to clean it by tomorrow. there used to be a sticky on it before the forums got rearranged.

I get my kicks on EC.

umm i think it kinda slips for a second. My friend was saying that's because of the lift when it kicks, but idk. Does he mean when it switches from low-hi cam? Don't know jack about toyota's, know a lot about h/a.

Lift doesn't kick in until 6200rpm, so the 3000rpm thing must be a dirty MAF for sure and/or a leaking line to the intake butterfly.
