also was the fitment that bad, or did it just take a little sanding to make if fit nice and flush?

Ok thanks. But that little metal grate thingie your talking about, I heard that you need to keep that, cause its job is to direct the airflow coming in towards your header area, as it was design that way and serves a purpose. You may want to try to fit that back in if you can.

I got the same one from ebay.
The fitment on mine is not perfect, but you can't tell unless you get really close to it.
I didn't remove anything, but had to drill some extra holes into the scoop to make it fit better.

I bought it for $100 shipped, but I wish I would have waited because you can probably get it for $75 shipped. The seller always has them on ebay, just keep bidding the minimum and you're bound to win one for that price (unless everybody on this forum tries to get them at the same time, lol)

Not a bad scoop if you pay $75 for it (i probably wouldn't pay $100 for it again).

I took a rubber mallet and beat the shit outta my Hood so it's not that high.
