component speakers. 6.5" obviously (since that is the size of your stocks).

as far ast he best? depends on what price your going for...some 6.5" inch component sets go for well over $1,000 (consists of 2 speakers, 2 tweeters, 2 crossovers).

it's better to just pick a price (such as $300 for a set) and then choose the best peforming for that price. jl, audiobahn, rockford fosgage, and kicker make very good component sets, for example.

The best speakers are the ones that sound the best TO YOU. That's all that matters, since it's your car. Everyone's taste is different.

Im going to be an outcast here, www.cdtaudio.com [cdtaudio.com] I have a set, they are my fav sounding speaker that i have herd yet. Customer service there is also way above what i have seen from many other companies. When your looking at their website, take a decnt chunk off their prices, as most of the time, one of their dealers will have something on sale. I have a dealer i deal with all the time that would be more then happy to help if your interested. You can contact me on AIM electricice, and i will have him get in touch with you. I will even go as far as to say, i like them better then the JL XR series.

I agree, they make some high end speakers. They sound very nice while natural sounding.

In my opinion the kappa perfects are very harsh on the high end... I loved them when i had them, but after going thrugh multiple other setups, i came to realize how much they reeally just didnt sound smooth.

I used to have a combo of Pioneer and Polk speakers in my old car. They sounded pretty decent but definately a little too bassy and not very clear on the highs. However I have found Infinity speakers to be nice but not enough bass but very good mid/highs.
