even with the turbo, you will need a fully built head, pistons and rods to be able to rase the rev limiter safely...

if you want to raise the limiter you'll need the follwing mods to do it safely...

1) apexi power fc
2) crower stage 2 cams (no point reving higher if you cant make power that high)
3) stronger valves and valve springs (mwr sells some, and so does crower)

thats about it. cost will be around $2,000 w/o labor.

for that price, I would just buy a car that starts off with a lot more hp first. thumbsup

yup for 15k plus trade in you could get a GTO with 350hp. for a few hundred more get new heads and cam shaft and jack it up to 400-450hp. or for that 15k buy a chevy ramjet crate motor and figure out how to put it into your car and make it RWD. or if you need a winter car with better traction in the snow and ice for the same price you can get an AWD wrx sti 300hp. or for only a few grand and a trade in you can get a dodge neon srt-4 and with a turbo upgrade you can make like 350. these are all pretty ugly cars and I've never driven any so dunno about the handling but if you want cheap HP go for these.

think the celica really shines in looks and handling so concentrating on those aspects are good suspention visual upgrades and maybe alittle more HP if natural go intake and exhaust cams when they come out with 'em. or a mild turbo so you don't have to upgrade everything like stage 1 c2gas on a GTS would give probably the cheapest and most reliable gains for about 4 grand and no need to upgrade tranny or internals.

thanks...i realized this cry and i am so staying away from those other cars puke rofl If i was going to spend that money...i would just save up a few more thousand and get a Supra. I am going to get the Stage 2 Turbo from C2Power and probably boost it up to 300 or if i can, 350...wouldn't cost as much and i don't have the money to completely rebuild my engine. Thanks for the help

why is everyones choice always to just get a faster car? isnt it all about modifying the car you have and not just giving up because it would be easier and cheaper to get a higher hp car

Here we go:
you need tolocate thos 2 chrystals in the ECU and change them 2 steps higher. As I remember they are 16khz (or Mhz) so change them to 18.
BTW: I f..ed my stock valves once at 8500-9000rpm on the GT, so there are still some rpms left, but yes its there for a purpose.
