My friend has an 8 in W7 sub in his focus.Now for an 8 inch sub it kicks pretty good.I am thinking about getting a 10 inch W7.Has anyone else had experiences with the W7?

W7 are a very nice sub...but the only downfall is they need a very large ported box for it to sound Good...u can do a normal sealed box but it won't sound deep at all.. thumbsup

my first post. i've always read stuff on here just never inteded to post.

Clarion VRX925VD

JL Audio 10" W7 500/1 300/4 XR-650Csi XR-650Cxi
=========
the 10' W7 will rock your world. i've had it in my 02' GTS for about a year now and everyday it gets louder. it is complimented by the JL 500/1. this combo will just make your jaw drop. for what a 10" which is acutally an 11" sub can do you will be amazed. this is a great buy.

Furthermore i had my stocks speakers in for a while and they were doing well, but i had to get rid of em. I went with the JL XR650Cxi and JL XR650Csi. [fronts and rears] both XR series though. Combined with the JL 300/4.

Three words :: O My God ::

the combo of this sub and these speakers are out of control. the speakers can handle many differernt types of bass tones and the highs are crazy.

back to the sub, i listen to trance/progrssive/house/very little rap/mainly trance though. There are so many different bass tones out in music and trance will just show you how many there are. the 10W7 hits EVERY bass tone without even trying.

If you are thinking about buy this sub, DO IT. You will be in love with it, well atleast i am.

After you see what the 10" can do you are gonna wonder what the 12" (13") can do .. ... and what the 13.5" (15") CAN DO?!?!?!!?. .. you have no idea. .. .

we only used that alpine unit because the kid wanted the video instead of the eclipse cd8053 which is 9999999999 times better for SQ.

The W7 is basically the best subwoofer out there but its only as good as the install. IMO you can do just as good if you spend time on your enclosure and put a lot of effort into it. There are so many cheaper alternatives that unless you have the money and want a cookie cutter system, you can find something that might suit your needs much better. For half the money you could get a Brahma, XXX, ED A series, DD 9500s, Orion H2, IDMAX, RE HC, L7's even, Crossfire BMF's, Beyond Audio Inhumans, Treo SSX, Eclipse Titanium and the list goes on...It's all in the install...

I have a 12W7 in my Celica, with a JL 1000/1 amp running it. It sounds great. I got the one from JL that comes in a small sealed box and it sounds better than the two 12's I had before. My system right now is setup for Sound Quality and I'm hitting 139.3 db's (just to let you know that they can hit hard and loud).

your local autorized dealer.

internet sales of JL audio if forbidden and you will never get any form of warranty.

if for any reason you send the item back to JL they will use the built-in tracking feature and find out exatcly wehre you got it from hehe...

I know they already put someone in jail for tempering with their trackin device on their amps and subs...

I really couldn't give you a cost for it...

our labor is 60 per hour and we did the full install for this kid.

we had the car for 10 days and his bill for labor and accessories was 1800.00

and that's because we charged him 45 per hour. so we did a bill for 40 hours of labor hehe.

There is a rule that whoever sells JL audio, nobody else is allowed to sell them in a 45 mile range from them so there is no competetion. They're good but way overpriced.
