Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Which is better in the exhaust category...

I am trying to get some looks and sound out of this purchase... But I don't know which is better and which would mess with back pressure so much that it would be like having dual exhaust.

Here goes the Items I am thinking about. Tell me what you think.

-Dual intercooled exhaust tip 3"outlet
-Dual exhaust tip 3"outlet
like this " Magnaflow Dual tip muffler [magnaflow.com] "
-Single Intercooled exhaust tip 3"outlet
-Single exhaust tip 3"outlet

i dunno about all that intercool business but the dual exhaust is going to look better. though you should be prepared to be insulted by stupid annoying people since you have a 4 cylinder.

Get a cat-back exhaust system for best looks and sound. Single muffler will be better for performance. Like Snake said, custom dual mufflers on a four cylinder might get people to talk smack about your car.

These aren't mufflers or cat-back units... but just plain tips... OKAY! I have a small 4 cylinder 1.8Liter 7a-fe engine that we think can't use dual tips but I want a dual tip or single intercooled tip. So which of the above is better if I don't change my muffler...

I think you should just invest in a full cat-back system.

For my 94 Celica ST, I can't get a Cat-back system without paying about $1,000 for a custom built and installed unit... So that is why I was considering the mufflers only and not the whole unit...
