Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior how much space for 18" rims

does anyone know how more space in the wheel well 18" rims require over 17" rims. Im not talkin height wise, more length. The reason I am asking is becaues my veilside replica sideskirts come into the wheel well like an inch or so, and my 17's are pretty close to touching them now, so I wanted to make sure that my 18's wouldnt rub against them.

This is just my thought, but as long as you keep the overall diameter the same, there shouldn't be an issue. You would need a lower profile than your 205/40-17. A 35 profile should do you fine. Also, don't go too wide. I'd say no more than 8-8.5 inches wide per wheel. Just my $.02
