Im considering this same question too. If you have a lot of miles on your car already then they will probably not last all that long. Since I think I remember you saying you have like 75000, I would just save money on the installation and get the new struts now since your gonna need them eventually anyways. Unless you are installing them yourself.

I have 90,000 miles on my car, and a stock suspension, its still working, but im starting to feel it more... if the cost is not outragously more, when mine dies, im going to do a pretty decent upgrade.
