took my car to a place today for an estimate to put my hotchkis on, and my tokicos, they said 300 to install them and 45 for an alignment. But if i go in tomorrow, the guy would do everything for 200 under the table. I am waiting on a couple of other guys to help me out locally. What would the better choice be? Keep im mind i know nothing about doing this myself.

i did it myself, it's not that hard. Just get a spring compressor for the front struts and shocks and you'll be fine.

I was and still am quoted at around $150 for new springs and struts, for around here. I was quoted to check and set the preload on the sways, check my dampers, set the corner weights and balance my suspension without an alignment at $200 flat with a 2-4 hour time limit max. This was from a shop that has set up EVO's for the track and countless Porsches and Ferraris.

^^^But WHO did it? My friend installed my springs for $65. That's a FRIEND price. Shops usually want $150-200. Then there's alignment. That's another $90. It's not like you can just go anywhere to get it aligned...unless you want it aligned to stock specs. idunno
