Celica Forums General Discussion Interior front door speakers adapters

Recently I have learned (from this site) that you need speaker adapters to install the 6.5's in the front doors. I am looking on sound domain.com and theres several different ones. How do I know which ones I need.

Those are universal adapters so most likely will not work without modification. I suggest you make some out of 3/4" MDF, this will give you added depth if you have deep speakers and also they will sound better since they will be more secure against the door. If you dont want to go through the trouble of making some you can get some celica specific ABS adapters at crutchfield.com or ebay, but they are very flemsy .

yeah you prolly figured that out from my expierence lol well yeah im makin mine out of MDF it shouldnt take any time at all

vaio23, awsome speakers(CDT), Sounddomain has one that will work for our cars, that is not universal, it will not however work for all speakers... for example, vaio23's speakers would not work. If you have a run of the mill speaker, you should be fine.


the ones on soundomdina are made by scosche.Not flimsy at all... in fact, i have a set i need to get rid of, but not worth the cost of shipping, in comparison to buying them new.
