Stock Fuel Lid Removal
Hey guys,

Where can I find info on how to remove the stock fuel lid? I am going to get it painted.

I know that they are riveted, so how I do remove them? Drill them out with what type of a bit? Don't want to mess up taking it off and have it stuck there.

Thanks!

And also, when I place the lid back in, what am I going to be using to hold it up since the stock rivets will be drilled out? What size screws if that is the case.

I have seen some people use some self tapering screws to put the lid back on or just go to the dealership and order some new rivets. If you are not comfortable with this just take it to the bodyshop shouldn't be much.

i couldnt find rivets that would hold the lid hinge down, so i opted for some stainless steel bolts and nuts with split lock washers, these fit the hole that the rivet came out of, there is a wire spring that holds the rubber boot inside on, when you pull this out you can access inside the fender to tighten the nuts down, this is much simpler and reliable than trying to find a rivet to hold tight enough

Where did my sig go? help me find it..........
