Where can I buy TPR intake and do you need a bypass valve for this intake?

bypass valve isnt always needed. I would say get one if you live where it rains a lot and if you plan on getting the CAI not the SRI. Also, with TPR i am not sure if they have a bypass valve for that intake yet.

Many people have said the bypass valve doens't work for our cars. But you really wont need one with TPR as I believe it converts to a Short Ram Intake within minutes. It's the only intake for the celica that is the best of both worlds.

The value of the intake? Well it is cheaper than almost all the intakes out for the celica, AND it is the ONLY intake that has absolutely no bogging or CEL problems. Maybe I misunderstood what you said...

lol you didn't misunderstand.

what i mean is...there is practically no proof of what power gains it has and even the power gains aren't proven (what..2 dynos, maybe? and aren't they making the next batch out of a new material?)

my point is only to say that if you buy a tpr intake..buy it because it's cheaper or that it 'looks good'. saying it outperforms others or 'doesn't bog' is a little unfounded right now.

tpr probably is a good intake, but it's not proven. i like chris, i like his work..my hope is that he does indeed outperform aem and injen (it can't be that hard too..it's not like their pieces of art). just saying its unproven to say anything peformance wise about it.

lol there were 3 dyno runs of each intake tested under the same conditions with a celica member present.

The injen had .5 more peak hp up top (however it was for about 200-300 rpm).

I wouldnt say injen had better top end wink

Was that the old intake or the new one? I mean, the plastic one or the metal one? The material will have a bearing on the readings, won't it?
