Hey I just been looking through all kinds of subwoofers and amps i really have to say that it comes out being all greek to me. I found 2 subs I wanted and I had to choose so I flipped a coin on it and choose the Visonik 2500W 12" Subwoofer Diecast Basket tasty. Ok so now I got to get a AMP for it so im looking throught the Visonik amps which have some great ratings for power but when it comes to choosing an amp based on channels I get lost. The sub is 1250W Rms
2500W Max and is Dual 2 Ohm Voice Coils and i want an amp to push at least 1000rms into it(not that ill use it happywink) so i found a few amps i like but once it proves the info on ohms i loose it. like this for instance

1000W 2 Channel High Current Amplifier
2x150W Rms @ 4 ohm Stereo / 2x275W Rms @ 2 ohm Stereo
2x400W Rms @ 1 ohm Stereo/ 2x500W Rms @ 0.5 ohm Stereo
1x1000W Rms @ 1 ohm Bdgd

is this the kind of amp I want or is it not powerful enough wtf? I mean the SUB is a DUAL 2ohm so is that tech. still 2 ohms or is it 4ohms? is there anyway to use the sub to its full potential? I mean im sorry to bother everyone with this but I would just like to know.

get a hold of me on monday and I'll see what I have in stock on visonik and we can then discuss what's best for your sub.

Is Visionik a good brand? How is the quality?

run the voice coils in parallel and you would 1/2 the impedence, giving you 1 ohm resistance, if you run them in series you will get a 4 ohm load. the amp you would need is a 1 ohm stable bridged amp, do not run the voice coils on each channel, remember, subwoofers are supposed to get a mono signal. if you are running this in your celi, you will at least need a .500 farad cap for the quick transients

I think that you are going to blow out your rear windshield and could get away with half of the power output with the right subs and box, I say this even though i sell the stuff. I have 1 JL 12" woofer and a 600 watt amp. This is more than enough for such a small car.

non sense i had 2 15" JL's being pushed by over 800watts per sub and it slammed and never once broke the back window i and i was hittin just over 150db's

How much are you looking to spend total, you can do better.

Also there is no brand that wins competitions, if the install is good then any amp will win. But some of the top names are US Amps, RF, Crossfire, Memphis, Orion, Earthquake, MMats, Zapco, Audiobahn, JBL, JL audio, Kicker, MTX, and so many more...

Well when it comes to price it really doesnt matter to me because its all a save up project so what I mean is in the long run(2-3yrs) I should have a big majority of toys in the car... Im really looking for something that pushes 1000rms both sub and amp...I hear that the JL 1000x1 amp has been a good buy for people or 2 JL 500x1 amp also... if I got 1 JL 13W7(about 1000rms) and 1 JL 1000x1 amp would it sound clearer than one JL 12W7 with a JL 1000x1 amp or is 1000 just too much and I should just get a JL 500x1 amp instead??? I mean I am really going for something that is LOUD(to an extent) but able to hit hard as well...I listen to a lot of Trance,Techno, and pretty much anything with some nice bass ie Korn.. sorry about all these Q?s but i figured its best to get advice from fellow celica owners instead of some guy trying to sell me anything expensive.
