Hi.
Anyone know if you are wearing out the clutch when you stop at lights with the car in gear and the clutch to the floor?

I always thought it didn't wear it out but a friend says it does. Having just had to replace the clutch on one of my other cars it has me worried. It could also be because I drive it like it is stolen but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Keeping the clutch pushed in is bad for the throw-out bearing. Better to shift to neutral.

Yep. It won't hurt it too much if you're at a stop sign or if you don't expect to be stopped for long, but at a light, just shift to neutral and watch for the other direction light to turn yellow, then shift into gear.
