Powertrain is 60,000, unless you got the extended warranty (at least on earlier models).

Emissions is required to be 80K or 100K.

isn't it something like 3 years or 36,000 miles, which ever comes first? and five years or 100,000, which ever comes first?

got my 2000 in 9/03 and just barely snuck in to cover my transmission (expired 2/04). after that close call i got the extended warranty.

The extended warranty should cover transmission/engine problems correct?

3/36,000 unless you buy the extendo. Most people with the extendo have had problems getting pretty much anything covered with it, as far as I've heard.

supposedly it does. if it's anything expensive they won't (so don't break anything more expensive than your alternator) rolleyes

i've had numerous problems with toyota (at least the dealerships and toyota certified--the holders of the extended warranty)...so much so that i seriously doubt i'll ever buy another toyota after i'm done with my celica.
