if i had that done (custom) at a shop, what would it cost? general guestimate... and most importantly, would it sound ricey at all?

sound depends on a muffler, price depends on what type of bend you want and if you want flanges along with what size.
but if i had to guess it would be like 250-320

it WILL sound ricey... it's a 1.6L. No matter what size piping you get. I suggest you don't spend money on this mod. Honestly, if you want the sound of those civics with fart cans coming from your car, then be my guest. Use the money on something else. The piping would cost you probably from $100-150 and a canister will range from $30-$250 (cheap ebay - Apex'i N1 canister)

i used my mp3 player... it doesn't really get the fullness of the sound that you would hear in person though.

I'm so happy i have a 2.2L grin Otherwise i would be getting beat by civics and shiz. cry

are you serious?????? no way... i only got beat by ONE civic. He was turbo and running on 10psi rofl rofl rofl He happened to powdercoat his fmic black so it looked like a radiator. I got the jump on him and was ahead by a car until his turbo spooled up. He powder coated his fmic black so it looked like a radiator eek. After he beat me and i accepted my defeat to a what i thought was a type r motor swapped civic or something, we pulled off the freeway and pulled into a gas station. He asked me what i was running and he was really surprised that i only had wheels and flex-pipe back exhaust (btw i had 4 cases of costco water bottles in my car). Then he popped his hood and there sat a type R engine with a t04e turbo with custom manifold and fmic piping that looked stock. I swear this is was one of the most sleeper looking engine bays i have ever seen. The only problem was the "snail" was polished. So I had to give the guy props.

Other than that, I've never even been touched by civics. Civics are slow and gay smile
