if you do the math - you will realize that your car's antenna actually comes from the front where your radio is installed and travels all around the edges of your car about 10 feet to the rear passenger corner where it then attaches to a long 2 foot rod inside the body of your car and you end up screwing on another metal rod...

so in actual fact, how can you say that by removing 2 feet of a 16 foot antenna, you will loose 95% of your reception wtf rofl

am I wrong... is my math way off ? ? ?
And whats up with the cars that have no antenna/lighting-rod... they have the whole thing lined along the front window - but they still get excellent reception spineyes thumbsup thumbsup

could I just take the antenna off?

It's an eye sore!

it has to do with wavelengths and being the exact lenght to recieve the signal. Anttanae are usualy bough tin half and quarter wavelenght so they can get better reception.

teh s 2000 antannae is the same size as your lightening rod its just wrapped around itself . like if you wrappped wire around a pencil. yoru reception shouldn't really change much at all
