Is there any common oil leak spots on these Celicas? I noticed oil leaking this time when I changed the oil on my gfs car. It looks like its leaking from higher up, almost looks like its around the exhaust manifold. I haven't really looked into it yet, i just figured id ask and see if anyone had any ideas before I waste a bunch of time.
FYI its a 2001 gt w/ about 53,000 miles.

the two MOST common spots I'd say would be from the drain plug and the filter. Just because it's not very uncommon that people will either a) not tighten these things enough, or b) not coat their filter gasket with a film of oil. I would assume since you changed the oil yourself you were careful about these two things. Other than that with such low mileage I can't think of anything that would be leaking. Though it is possible that your valve seals are breaking down I highly doubt it unless your oil is absolute sludge.

Well I know for sure its not the filter, but i won't say it couldn't be the plug. I rechecked and it was tight, but its possible the little gasket around the bolt could be bad, it seems like the oil is higher up, but then again, oil does tend to go weird places with all the air moving around there while driving..
