I got one of those detachable panasonic decks in my celica from the factory. But I noticed the other day that the face has scuff marks in it, like fine scratches (not deep ones that cut through, but kinda like fine lines everywhere). Do you guys know of a way I could remove these scratches?

Would automotive plastic polish do the trick or is that too harsh?

Thanks guys, I'm going to grab a bottle of that today and see how it works. I'll post my results afterwards.

Man oh man, I bought a bottle of Meguiar's Plastx today and went at it on my faceplate, and like WHOA! it got rid of all the scratches! It was unbelievable. I wish I had taken a before pic, sorry but my faceplate was pretty hazy/scratched up, now its like brand spanking new!

Here is the after shots:

we use polysand kits or micromesh kits to make aircraft instruments look new the kit comes with foam backed pads. if you do not fallow the instructions to a tee then you are screwed. it takes a microscopic layer of plexiglass or acrelic off and makes a factory finish without using wax. try it on a bad cd first. if you have a friend that works on airplanes than he can get you a kit for free.
