Hey just curious if anyone knows how to get the door inserts off of our cars. I'm gonna try to paint them with some fabric paint...should be an interesting project...if anyone can help it would be appreciated...thanks

I think he means the door sills. They just pop out. should only take like 5 seconds to get them out. A flat screw driver might help, but you can just use your hands.

Is this right? are you talking about the gray plastic piece that says celica?

no, I believe he talking about the piece above the armrest, GTS is leather I dunno if GT is. you can take it off and wrap it w/ another kind of fabric, and hot glue or staple the fabric on the back of it to keep it secure

oh, that peice...um. what people do is buy fabric and cut it to the shape they need it. And just jam it in there with a butter knife. Someone who has done it could explain it better. It might be in the install section.

no no i think he means the part that is leather on the gts and cloth on the gt. Its right bewlow the window, the squishy part. I dont knwo how ot get it off. Try taping up arund it and paint the crapi out of it wink

1) Remove OEM door panel from the vehicle and place on a clean work bench.
2) Remove fabric insert with a flat blade screw driver.
3) There will be a foam backing that is glued to the door panel that needs to be removed.

it's prob not worth it, then you might not be able to get it back on.
