Of cos a supercharger is different from a turbo...but seriously dude...funny why you shld ask such a question, anyways, here goes...there is no spooling time in a supercharger, there is no lag(which is inherent in all turbo systems but to what extent),and it's more fuss free wink but with a turbo system, you get to spend more money and more time fiddling and tuning the muddafugga, all in all, go for the supercharger, get lots more fun out of it...give Blitz a try dude!

I know how "turbo" works.
But... my interest is:

How a supercharger is functioning?

The key difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger is its power supply. Something has to supply the power to run the air compressor. In a supercharger, there is a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that the water pump or alternator does. A turbocharger, on the other hand, gets its power from the exhaust stream. The exhaust runs through a turbine, which in turn spins the compressor
