Hey guys Im new to the forum and just have a few questions and such. I have a 1992 celica AWD with a 3sgte engine in it. Im looking for some performance upgrades for my car. Pretty much I have like 20k to spend on upgrades and would like some suggestions. Currently my target goal is to run around 11.0 on a 1/4 mile which Im not too sure of. I dont have much mechanical background on cars so please bare with me. Im looking for upgrades to everything from turbos to even ignition wires. I just want to turn this car in to a speed machine =). Well thanks and hope you guys post some extremely good info. =)

ok with 20 grand...
i would get on to mr2oc.com
buy the 2.1L or 2.2L stroker kit from chrisk and buy the head from him
to. then it becomes a matter of getting a td06, a gt28, gt30, t-67 depending
on what power curve you want. you'll want to upgrade fuel pump, injectors, and
get a fuel pressure regulator, while your at it get a EMS (engine management
system) so you can control all your new goodies. Boost controller, Fuel Cut Defencer(so you dont hit fuel cut). also a full 3 inch exhaust from the turbo
back. i know im forgetting more, visit www.atsracing.net [atsracing.net], www.mr2oc.com [mr2oc.com] (have to
register), and get on www.alltrac.net [alltrac.net] and talk to them more.

turbo upgrade, t3/t4 change the head to a 3rd gen head with bucket under the shims. cams not to aggressive. down pipe and full exhaust front mount intercooler and cai, upgrade fuel system to 720 cc injectors, throw that ecu out get a stand alone system (i used the sds system)dont forget fuel pump, act clutch 4 puck extreme pp, 50 shot nitrous for off the line spooling of turbo.(fuel pill 2 steps higher)

btw most of my internals were stock( except that after examining the bearings
we changed them (there is a company that we ordered some bearings from that worked very well) but of course i am going to tell you if you are going to change the head to a 3rd gen might as well you go forged pistons, rods, and a good crank.( the crank as far i know can take a lot of punishment though)

20k can get you into the 10s if you do your own work.
btw forgot the car overheats when you begin to modfiy heavy, change the radiator
the thermostat we took out and drilled holes around the inner lip so the water would start flowing sooner(something like a thermostat that opens at a lower temperature)
