Hey everyone. I have a slight probnlema nd i already searched the forums for ths but cant find any help. I have S7 gauges so i want to amke the gas lcd blue and the needles red. So i go to team celica, they are nto selling them anymore. I got o RJ autoworks, they havent emailed me back in 2 weeks and i have sent liek 5 emails. So where else can i get reliable leds for the gauges??? I also looked into those needle light thingys but 60 for jsut the needles is not worht it. Please let me know if anyone else knows other sources. Or if you tlak to rj frequently and can ask him if he will sell me them. Thanks again

Go back to stock. I see this mod as a show car only mod to add a little bit of bling. Slow down when you type too(no offense).

LOL yea i know my typing is always bad. I dont really care about shows or what other people like in cars, I am doing this for myself. I like the blue light so wanted to do the whole car in it. All i have left is the clock and radio after this. Clock will be done in a few weeks. I just dont like things unmatching, kinda a neat freak. If anyone knows another place to get these leds let me know. Thanks

www.digi-key.com [digi-key.com]

or maybe www.digikey.com [digikey.com], not sure.

there's an article in the installs section under interior, talking about soldering LEDs onto the stock stereo. It has the right part number for blue, but it may not work because of voltage concerns...if I remember.

Good luck thumbsup

from here:

SMT LED part source (can find them from Digi-Key) www.digi-key.com [digi-key.com]
Amber as seen in first photo at top. A bit too red #160-1185-1-ND
Red #160-1186-1-ND
Red/orange #160-1187-1-ND
Green #160-1188-1-ND (same as stock LEDs)
Yellow #160-1189-1-ND (best match for color with speedo)

BLUE #L62206CT-ND (may now work since it needs a higher voltage) There is a photoshoped (fake) image of a simulated blue display in the image gallery. Also these blue LEDs are very expensive!

www.digikey.com [digikey.com] has everything you need

the LEDs for the LCD, gauges, and radio are all the SAME
you will need red LED's for the gauges to get red needles and you know the rest.
use those part numbers, but i'm pretty sure some don't work
you need to search on the website for them.

yea i figured i woudl need all red for hte gauges/needles then blue for gas lcd and bleu for radio. I jsut didnt want to buy liek 60 and have them not be the correct kind.

BLUE #L62206CT-ND (may now work since it needs a higher voltage)

so i was a bit worried. cna anyone verify this is what i need for gas lcd?

Gas, speedo, and stereo all use the same LEDs.

the LED is 1206 SMT (or SMD, same thing), in case you look somewhere else.

The red LEDs (which I have in my stereo) work and are rated at 1.8V. The blue ones are rated at 4.9V. My guess is not to waste time with those ones, because they more than likely will not work.

You should try searching digikey's website, or you may need to find yourself another source. I did a small search already and came up empty.

EDIT: forgot to add, keep trying with RJAutoworks, he gets a lot of email and has a hard time responding to them all.
