Does any company make a wideband O2 sensor for the celica. Does it need to be vehicle specific or can you just get any wideband. Also please tell me what brands are good and were I can get my hands on one!
Thanks

you can't just get a sensor though, you need a controller along with it to interpret the wideband and translate to 0-5V.

http://www.hopupracing.com/aem.htmlyou can get the gauge type or no gauge for $100 cheaper. you'd be interested in the single channel. twin channel is for V-type engines that have 2 cats.

So what is the difference between the gauge type compared to the non gauge type. Would this be like a gauge that you would mount in the car?

actually if you actually want to use it to replace the factory narrowband so your car uses that to determine fuel injection, I think you want use the 0-1V signal that the AEM controller can provide. yeah but for PFC monitoring through the datalogit you would use 0-5V.

Do you have one for your car. Does this make tunning the PFC much easier or help make tunning easier?

just got the Datalogit for my PFC. yes, I really want one...expensive though...
and it'd be great for tuning for maximum power on the street on non-race 91-93 octane gas, in the non-100% load cells...
now for max power at 100% load you'd want to tune on a dyno.

I know of one dyno shop in Arcadia???...that charges extra for use of their wideband while using their dyno...it's a big difference...like $50/hour differential...so you might save money having your own wideband when tuning on the dyno. that's another issue.

Well I am thinking about the PFC and I wanted to make sure that I get everything needed to have this thing run to its fullest potential. Should I get the Commander with the Data cables also or what exatly will I need. I suck with this electronic stuff and I really appreciate your help!! I like old cars so much easier to get big power out of.

I wouldn't waste money on the Commander unless you have the cash to spare...it won't do much except provide monitoring of knock while driving around without having to have your laptop hooked up. and the Commander is useless for the most part for tuning purposes. MWR still might be giving them out free with their PFC's though. and I would get the PFC from MWR since it comes with a pretty good basemap which of course needs tuning. FCDatalogit is the thing to get. there are three sources that I know of... Monkeywrenchracing http://monkeywrenchracing.com/fc_datalogit_software_toyota_zz_engines.htmlRotary Performance (out of TX) (who supplies MWR actually haha) http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fdecu.html#powerfcstraight from the makers in New Zealand: http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/buynow.htmthough you'll pay a little more, maybe get it faster... it is coming from NZ so maybe you'll want the insurance and then that's $400 total. I got my PFC through MWR first and then had to wait many months for the backordered Datalogit. not suprisingly Rotary Performance called me first before MWR (who would just charge it when available) so I went with Rotary Performance. I think it was like $351 shipped.
