Hello celica people,

my 02 celica GT...idles rough.. ONLY..when the AUTO tranny is in "DRIVE",
BUT ! only when the car is at a stoplight, when the car is moving..it is very smooth...anyone have a solution?...same problem?... appreciate the help..

check your air filter
clean MAF and throttle
tune-up?

morris about summed it up. Have you done the butterfly mod, or do you have an intake? That could be part of it. Also if the above mentioned doesn't help, you could use some fuel injector cleaner.

edit: my '01 auto GT has a similar idling problem, I think it's related to my removed butterfly. hope this helps

I'm having the same problems as Spy29 with my Celica... it idles rough on stop lights, and after it warms up in the mornings.. I've tried the injector cleaner, and it smooths it out for a couple of days, and then its right back to square 1 again... Anything else I should check???
