Hi guys,I have a question
4 days ago I installed on my car the eibach sportline springs...here is the result...

The question is that for me it is not so low as I expected it...expecially in the rear...
What do you think? Do I need to wait the springs to set,or is it something strange?

Thanx

Yes I'll wait for a while..I already had a track day in Monza on saturday, the car was fantastic...but it doesn't look lower...maybe I have to wait again...

Does anybody have some picture of sportline springs just installed (i mean immediately after installation)?

Mine used to look lower then they are now. After jacking my car up to switch tires and take off rims. It looks higher then it used to.

Kinda weird, i have the same springs too.

I'll wait till spring and take some pics. I can tell a huge difference though.

They are in my garage...
In the picture shown I was in the Monza circuit...I was there for a track day anf I use Yokohama Advan tires on the 16" alloys for that purpose...

So You are all saying that the car will settle in the next weeks, right? I really hope so,I want it very low...

Anyway when my shocks will be worn,I'll install Tein SS,that's my choice! thumbsup

Eibach Sportline are much better than Hotchkis IMHO...
The only thing is that I can feel the shocks working too low...but it's not too bad,the car is always under control...and if the road is in good conditions...well you can't imagine how fast it is now; it's so flat so fast through the corners,so relaiable...so lovely!!!

If you will to buy some Eibach springs go for that at suprastore...they made a 50% off to me...those guys are great...I live in Italy and I need someone to trust when I buy something...and I found them...

Bye thumbsup

I had to sell it because on the track a body kit is not the best thing...and with the sportlines I could not even come out of my garage...

Anyway I bought the springs for $110...try to contact suprastore...

Just for the look I agree it was more beautiful with the Kam...
But you know,it's full of speed bumps here and it's not good to have a very low car and a bodykit...I had to make this choice, and after all I'm very happy now.

That the hotchkis springs were too short on the koni shocks I've known it from my dealer...Driving the car with those springs was not so bad...I was very happy with them, the ride was stiff, but not too stiff...

In fact I've heard a lot of people happy with hotchkis springs.

I installed the sportline only because I wanted the car to be lower...and now I think the car is better, but I expected it because of the lowerin rate...

I don't understand how the Hotchkis Springs could be to short with the Koni shocks, and how getting Sportlines with a larger drop would fix the problem?? As I also have Koni shocks... this is of some interest to me.

I agree, it's hard to see the point...It's not clear even to me...what I think is that Hotchkis rear springs are shorter than the sportlines, and they are not going to settle...
In my opinion eibach sportline springs are longer (in fact when I installed them the car was higher than with the hotchkis) anf than they settle down...
I don't know how to explain (my english is not so good) but I think that eibach fullfil the space of the shocks in a better way, even if the car is lower...do U see what I mean?

Bye

yeah i had eibach sportlines with koni yellows...with kam kit and 18s...and was too low ..i was exactly 3 inches off the ground in the front..so i decided to go with eibach prokit in the front and sportlines in the rear. the front is a bit higher now but not too much..probably not even an inch

I had eibach sportlines installed around November 2004. I like the height of the front but I wish it were lower in the rear. It's about a finger-and-a-half gap in the front and a 2-finger gap in the rear. Is there any way to lower the rear further. Does the rubber bump stop need trimming. If so how can I tell if it needs trimming? Here are some pics

i love the drop on the sportlines, but the fact that there are no shocks that are made to go with them kinda pisses me off. im probably going to go with a coilovers or some kind of 1 1/2" drop to go with some kyb agx shocks. that way i dont have to worry about them wearing out so quick. but heres a pic of my drop for now thumbsup

I think that eibach claim a lowering rate of 2,4" in the rear, but that's absolutely not true...
They are only a little bit lower than hotchkis springs, and that makes me confident about the shocks...I think they will not last forever, but they will not wear so quickly...also because Koni is an excellent product!

Hi guys

finally I have the answer...here's the reason why my car was not so low in the rear as I expected it to be...

Look at the springs!!!

[Linked Image from icu2cop7.altervista.org]

[Linked Image from icu2cop7.altervista.org]

Than I've modified the srings last week...here is the result

[Linked Image from icu2cop7.altervista.org]

I've not made any picture yet,but I'm sure tha car is really lower now...and now I can really see why I've bought my eibach sportlines... thumbsup

bye

P.S. does anybody know why did this happen to me? It looks like in USA the shock plate is smaller than in Europe...

Oh man, so the entire time the spring wasn't sitting down on the perch properly?! I think that's a result of a bad install job or the perch is bent.

Yes you are right...anyway the ride was not so bad...the fact is that I don't think it was the result of a bad installation, because I had hotchkis springs before these and they had the same problem...I think that in America shocks and struts are different in the rear...
