Ive had mine on for about 2,000 miles now and havent touched it. Do you guys clean your filters every so often or anything else to maintain it? I know on this website they have information about maintaning your COLD AIR Intake, but I wasnt sure if it was the same for our short rams. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks thumbsup

no need to clean it as much as CAI does since its not extended with all the dirt and filth coming from the outside..but SRI will have some dust and engine built it..to keep it more clean..get the INJEN heat shield..

You should really clean it about every other oil change, I used the K&N recharger kit ($10) at autozone, it cleans the filter and makes it run like new, comes with cleaner and oil and you can use it more than once thumbsup

I've been thinking of buying one of these, and am very interested in this topic, I had a post similar to this up just a little while ago, anyway, when cleaning is it the same proceedure for cleaning the high performance air filters? where you just remove the filter, knock loose the dirt, then apply the cleaning solution, rinse off, then apply oil? i just picked up a kit from my toyota dealership and it would be great if i was able to use it when i get my SRI. i don't see why it wouldn't work, but i want to be sure. thanks

Filters should be cleaned about every 10,000 miles..
