If you really want Rockford Fosgate, I would go with the P3, or the T1's..Very good subs...
I dont know how much you want to spend, but those are nice subs for the money. They do make P2's but they only come in single voice coils, which would limit you to amps.
I have two Lighting Audio VC2s, on the Kenwood 811D amp., in a custom ported box. Love it...Just need to get my factory speakers replaced now.

which amp are you going to use? That determines alot. First make sure you know which amp you are going to get, then come back and ask us because then we can tell you if you should use dual 2 or 4 ohm subs and how to wire them.

Good point ... the guy local here does a lot of audio wanted to use his amp ... probably cause they cost him less and me more? If i were a betting man. But since im building the box and buying subs i guess ill take your advise on that one too! I want 2 10" subs and an amp to power them. Money not really being an issue on this. jb

I'm gonna throw out JL audio 10w7's too. I know others are gonna say they are overpriced but to each his own.
