I just got off the phone with the body shop...good news, my car is done and i can pick it up tomorrow. BUT they said that my power windows are not working, my power doorlocks are not working, and none of my signals are workin either. Stupid thing bout it is they try blaming me for it because I relayed my sidemarkers to my front signals. I told them "i've been drivin the car the way it is for a while and had no probs even during and before I took my car to the body shop" then they started blaming the shop that did my alarm because they "must have done something wrong with the wiring" so again...I told them my alarm was workin fine because I had to put my car in valet mode...pissin me off angry

I get to pick up my car tomorrow morning and they said imma gonna have to take it to a friend that knows electrical since they dont mess around with electricals. I asked them about takin it to toyota but they said not to because they will void my warranty...from the aftermarket alarm. is that true???

probably not...just tell them that you got in it that morning and went to roll down the window and it wouldn't work...then you looked and noticed your windows don't work...and you would like to make an appointment for them to look at it...I did that one time and they fixed it under warranty because I didn't bring their attention to what I had done... and they aren't going to give you shit about your electrical system unless you have a huge system in there...

If the dealer finds cut wires and such they are gonna charge you for the work. If the stuff worked when you dropped the car off to this shop then they messed it up plain and simple and will be liable for any repair charges.

That's what I told them...cuz i was able to open my windows and use my alarm to open the car with the remote. I even got to put the car in valet mode before they towed it from my house to their shop...they said toyota will void my warranty because i have an aftermarket alarm. Is that true???

is it possible to erase the alarm codes if the battery has been disconnected for a while? will that cause some of my electricals not to work???

i know i couldnt find it either...but i found them at 411.com

here's wat happened today when i went to the shop. Overall the car looked nice and clean. New front pain job but just one new headlight...

got close to the car and noticed one of my fog lights was stickin out of the bumper. both fogs not working, signals not working, pwr windows and pwr door locks are not working. I checked the side markers and saw 3 wires that they hooked up together that wasnt supposed to be hooked up. I started the car and I smelled something burning from the passenger headlights. 5 mins later bat drained...so they messed around with the wiring and hooked up something thats supposed to be remote to a live wire. stupid thing is...their blaming the people that installed my alarm. I told them that it's them because everything was working fine even after the accident. Oh yea one more prob is that they didnt fix my fenders either. the headlights are still touching the fenders and has no gap between. oooh and another one, while i was tryin to find out where the burnin smell is comin from i touch the headlight and it moved. turned out they forgot to put one screw in...STUPPIDDD SHOP I SWEAR!!!!

i'm goin to contact bbb on monday and file a complaint. then somehow im goin to think of a way and find out if their mechanics are licensed...

I believe there's a term for saying you've repaired the car and haven't, while adding illegal and unsafe fixes like a rigged fuse -- fraud.

Mechanics need to be licensed, and can have their licenses lifted. Find out who oversees licensing and send your complaint to them too. Remember, the BBB is a voluntary association, not a mandatory one.
