i just talked to a shop called b & R performance and to install the c2 gas stage 1 kit they said it would be roughly $2,000.00 and i just thought that was way too much . is this a normal turbo install price? what have others paid? he also said refilling a 10lb nitrous bottle would be $55, just to give you an idea of what their prices are. i would just like to see if they are charging too much. thanks eek

I'd say for install it's gonna be around $1000 - $1500 range.
But then again I haven't yet talked to any shops close to my area but there's one close by which I can get a quick quote for the installation.

I'd think the install (not including dyno and testing) would be around $1,000. I wouldn't pay any more than that, personally.

are they going to install and tune the turbo? If so $2000 is a correct price. If they aren't going to tune it, the price is a little high.

I'm gonna have to start installing turbos lol $2k is WAY too much for just the install. $1k is more reasonable.

Dont most of the people who get their turbos get the emanage tuned? Since every car is different, I would think it would be a whole lot safer and add more power if it was tuned.

bend over and take it in the ass because you just got raped ...

shouldn't cost any more than 1400 for turbo install and tuning .. of coarse, clutch, extra gauges, etc... are going to be more.

i mean, for just installing the turbo, it shouldn't be too much.

turbo install should take a mechanically inclined person about 2 or 3 days to do in their garage. so I would think it'd take a pro a day. at 60 dollars an hour from 9-5 = 500 for labor then shop probably takes another cut 500 for shops cut and dunno 60 minutes to tune your car.. they charge a lot for that computer crap though so 1000-2000 might be reasonablish.. but for that kinda money I'd buy the tools get a friend and a manual for the car and do it myself then get it tuned. It's just bolt ons and a drilling a few holes running tubing and hoses. Don't you have to splice the e manage unit into your cars wiring that could be a pain. if it takes you 3 8 hour days then you'd be getting paid roughly 85 dollars an hour. I'd get it done at the shop if you get paid 100 dollars an hour otherwise I'd do it myself.

For a bolt on kit...should be less than 1000. I got my shop to do the complete custom kit for 900 plus various parts that they needed. They are just greedy if they want more than 1K to read an instruction manual and assemble a pre made kit, either that or stupid.

no the c2power turbo doesn't come pre mapped, Gas said it doesn't and when i ask a guy to install it that has done it before, he quoted $2900!!! I thought that was high! But with him, i can send my tranny to Gas for him to build it up really powerful (stuff costs $3600 thumbsdown ) plus $900 shipping...and i don't think that install includes mapping my ECU either wtf confused thumbsdown

The GTS Stage 1 kit comes with a pre programmed map for a stock celica and it is set to run rich for saftey. Copied right from c2power.com:
greddy emanage, harness, with preloaded map

^^^ Dude i am not sure if you know where IUP is but there is a shop up there called slow bot racing that will install it for you. IF you are interrested i could call them and get a rough quote for you, Tunning using a wide Band O2 is $135 an hour and on average takes 4 hours but i could probable get you buy 1 hour get 1 Free thumbsup

I am doing the install myelf then takeing it to them for tunning grin
