I have a Tanabe Racing Exhaust. It came along with a muffler. It dosn't make a deep sound like i thought it was going to make. So those of you who have this exhaust how does yours sound and if you have the same problem how did you make it sound good.

Which one do you have?

There are 3 kinds, the Hyper Medallion, the Super Medallion, and the Ultra Medallion.

Each one sounds different. Most people tend to like the Super Medallion...

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

There is no sound coming from it. It sounds like a stock exhaust because it came with a muffler from Tanabe. So i think that is why it dosn't have a deep growl to it. I think i have to just take the muffler out and put a straight pipe.

If you want it to be louder, take off the resonator. Its the canister/bulge in the mid pipe. Its located between the cat and the muffler.

My tanabe exhaust system, the tsrm, sounds excellent. I dont know why yours doesnt make a nice LOUD DEEEPPP sound like most of them...Do what these guys are telling you to do, and it will sound louder. I had a shop install mine, so they may have taken the resonater off for me

if you just put it on, it does take a few miles for the ecu to adapt to the higher flow of exhaust, so it wont be as loud as it gets. i noticed this too when i installed mine. i too thought it sounded too close to stock, after about 2 days, it started getting louder and then about a week after it got pretty loud
