and for all of you questioning the functionality of it...who here as driven home with the sun at your back and you have to lean over halfway into the passenger seat just to keep the sun from blinding you off of your mirrors

wave (yes, that includes me) i live out of my mirrors..i can't stand it when the sun reflects off of them and prevents me from using them.

and you guys have seen the finished pics...you can see out of them easily enough. you might have a slight problem with night driving but all you need to see is headlights anyway..which should still be clearly visible.

i have no idea whether or not its legal..as far as i know there are no laws dealing with sidemirror tint..just as long as you have sidemirrors (or side cameras).

sidemirrors (or cameras) you need to have. rearviews you do not.

i know the law where i am says two mirros minimum...doesnt matter if its side or rearview, as long as you have 2...i used to drive a '65 Mustang Fastback, and it had a driverside side mirror and a rearview mirror

as for the mirror tint, i couldnt find anything stating it was illegal

ya it's legal, and i can see perfectly out of them, and i was originally going to do it for the "blinding headlight at night factor," but then i said what the hell and got a really light bronze film and put that on, worked out really well. it's the same idea as the mirrors that use gold mirror on newer cars to cut down on headlight glare thumbsup thumbsup and i don't think a cop would even be able to tell unless i showed him and asked if it was legal rofl

i think i'm going to do the same thing, actually. hid's during the night are aggrivating (and hid's are getting evermore popular) as well as trying to keep the sun at bay when driving during the early morning or dusk.

Not me. I dont even use sunglasses while driving, I dont even see why they are necessary for some people. I use the sun visor on occasion or I just deal w/the sun (which isnt that bad). some people should just Man Up

Also when you pull up to a stop light and there is a guy behind you w/ HiD's and they are shining right in your side view and it hits you right in the eye and you try to move to get out of the way yet you still get blinded. thats' why i thought he did it. that shit pisses me off, might have to do this mod myself.

I'm right there with ya bro. angry angry

How'd you tint them, just bought some tint from (?) and did it like you would a window? I would think a mirror would be more "slippery" and it would be harder to adhere to...??? :Shrugs: ???

our cars have a light tint on the mirrors from the factory too, most people don't notice it though.

i'm not fucking reterded you guys, why the hell would i tint my side mirrors so dark that i couldn't see out of them? it's just a very light bronze film to cut down on headlight glare, and it matches my other windows a lil better now too thumbsup i think "tinting" was the wrong word, if i used the words "vinyl overlays" would you guys be okay with it? rofl

^^ thank you.

LOOK AT THE PICTURES PEOPLE

if you do that simple task, you can CLEARLY see they are NOT limo tinted--or anything even remotely close to it. yes, it will be darker..but only slightly. its a light tint.

Makes it harder to see stuff at night. On the bright side (no pun intended) its less reflective so if you have an asshole behind you with his highs on at night, it doesn't blind you.

Like my back window tint though, it makes a difference when you can't see shit out your window. Mirrors are just the same. Something you just need to get used to. Good job! thumbsup
