please explain?

ok ,my check engine light came on. on occaision when i hit the gas pedal nothing happins. the engine doesent rev or anything. Anyone have a clue what i broke????

Your best bet right now is to get the code read, I'd say. How is it for power output (when it IS reving OK)? Oh yeah, auto, or manual?

its an auto, when it is working it works fine,just on occaision when i hit the gas pedal nada happens

torque converter maybe. when was the last time you changed the fluid and filter???
