Don't know and don't care. No point of having that much power or even going any faster if the car looks like crap.

No pun intended, but since you have a jetta why are you hanging out on a celica forums. Did you use to have a celica or something of that sort?

yea, he likes the celica, but hes here to have conversation, hes given tips and advice to others, hes a good member to have around. Im on different bike forums and ride a different bike than most people, it makes it interesting to hear from a different point of view, and by the looks of his clip, he can drive his car pretty well!

My friend has a Jetta 1.8t, it's pretty quick, even though it's auto.

The autos come with 5 speeds not 4, I checked the ratios online and it's pretty similar to a manual. They also come with tiptronic.

He thinks my auto GT is fast though...lol

the nice thing about the 1.8T it is very easy to upgrade that turbo and i have seen a 1.8T with a bigger T keep up with evo's on the roll that was scary as hell... i know a ton of 1.8T GTI's one is a 12.1 second car and the other is 13.4... scary what that little 1.8L 4 cylinder can do... (thats why i am scared of celica's) the VR6 though is beefy still keep your eyes open for that

1.8 T is awsome and lots of aftermarket support unlike celicas. hell you can buy a chip for like 100-200 bucks that'll give you 20-30 crank hp. we have to pay 1000 for a chip that'll give us maybe 10.

you shouldn't be scared of celicas...the GT is slow and people who can actualy drive a GTS well are very few. only be scared when you approch a turn...the celi loves corners
