Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior need help installing shift light

ok i'm trying to help my friend install his shift light on his 02 civic(yes i know this is not a celica but its a friend in need) so i turn to my celica friends for help. does anyone know where the wires go. i have been looking for a civic site to see if they have a how to... but no luck. so i'm asking you guys to see if you guys know where they go and you have any pics of where they go. thanks a lot.

yes, and what he did was splice the wires (positive and negative) into the cig lighter.. well behind the cigarette lighter to be exact

That's what I originally did. just ran the wires on the inside of the boot and then spliced into the cig lighter. Not all that difficult to do just make sure it's not hot outside cause I couldn't hardly splice them together. All the sweat on my hands and such. I had to take mine off because it was a cheap version that I got for christmas. But good luck with that.
