Has anybody tried the stock endlinks (on TRD coilovers) with Hotchkis Street Sway Bars? Is it only the Tein endlinks that break since I heard that the Toyota stock endlinks don't?

After reading all the people with Tein endlinks that broke, I asked Hotchkis and they seemed to think that you don't need their endlinks with their street sway bars, so I didn't buy them but now I am reconsidering. I am trying to decide if it is worth saving the $90 and keep the stock endlinks and hope for the best or spend it now and install them at the same time as the sway bars. Are endlinks difficult or time consuming to install later on if I decide to wait?

I would get the endlinks, if the stock ones break you'll have a helluva time going down the road with'em.

What are the chances of the stock ones breaking?

They will bend and start making noise before they actually snap, I would order the Hotchkis endlinks now and either wait until the stock ones break or just install them now. They are easy to change, it's just 2 bolts (and the wheel lugs) on each one.

if you bought the hotchkis endlinks and put them side by side to the stock ones, you'll be amazed at quality and strength. i had tien endlinks on my ss-p's, and they were fine, but then i got hotchkis cause my front bar made crazy noise. never fixed it, but the quality and strength of the link is superb. thumbsup

but if you don't really auto-x ur car and go all crazy i dont really see a point in buying hotchkis, tein's are fine. . stock i dont know how long they last under moderate perssure.

Toyota stock front endlinks are not siutable for coilovers (even TRD) or anti roll bars/sway bars.
The back stock endlinks might fail because of a stiffer sway bar.

From my experience, and I don't drive on flat smooth paved roads most of the time. I had a Tein endlink bend slightly ( I have the pic let me dig it up) on my HA's. I also had both front endlinks go bad about 3 weeks after install on my SS-P's. This is with the stock sway bars driving around on public roads and no track use.
Hotchkis are suppose to be the best. I'm now using Hypermotive endlinks, but for the cost and supposed benefits of a beefier and more well made endlink, I would go for Hotchkis.
I think the cost of both front and back will be around the same for Hypermotives front and the Hotchkis are more superior.
