I put in my new mtec lights and within a week the passenger side head light was burnt out. I was having some work done to my car and asked my mechanic to put the lights in while he was under the hood and I'm assuming he didn't touch the bulb with his fingers b/c he knows how to change a damn light...

That being said, have any of you guys had a problem with these lights? Short-life span issues? I haven't hit any large bumps so I don't think I broke the filliment. Should I disarm my day time running lights so they don't get too hot? Or do you think this was a just a shitty light? I appreciate your thoughts.

I read all the time about MTechs blowing out, but normally it is because someone touched the bulb...

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

mine have been fine for over a month. take out the blown bulb and you'll be able to see if there's a fingerprint on it.

It was my low beam that blew. It took about a week to get to m place. I went ahead and ordered two more... I figure, maybe it was a freak thing, but if they don't work out the second time... I'll be pissed!

everyone's low beam blows cause i think it's the hardest bulb to change..

technically, the EASIEST way to change ur bulbs is to remove the entire headlight
you have full access to the rear without having to touch ANYTHING at all or have the bulb touch anything

i did this for my WRX, made it so simple.

I had re-replaced my same stock headlight bulbs as often as my MTEC's blew. The same stock bulbs that I keep replacing for the blown MTEC's are still going strong.
There is a major issue with premature shortages on those bulbs. That's a fact. It has nothing to do with how they were installed etc.
I posted in "the brightest bulbs" or something like that a day or so ago the same thing.
I also noticed a bit of melted wire on the wire harness.
I plan of taking pictures of everything.

Isaac, please understand I'm not attacking you and I also plan on ordering more bulbs either from you or elsewhere. Whether be MTEC or similar.
The truth has to come out. People are complaining and just dismissing the facts is not right.

I bought the low beams and fogs from MTEC. the lows are just fine but both my fogs burnt out. One of them burnt out because I accidently scraped it on the side of the housing. not sure why the other burnt out. Overall I think MTECs are ok.
